Elected UC Irvine President of Associated Graduate Students (2018-2019)As elected President of UCI's graduate student government, I worked on ensuring graduate student needs are met on campus. I served on multiple Campus Committees, including the Diversity and Inclusion Committee, and LGBTQ committee. I compiled a report on how UCI and the UC system can better respond to cases of sexual harassment, which I presented to graduate students, UCI administration, UCI Chancellor Gillman, and UC President Napolitano.

Targeted Instruction Generating Excitement about Research and Science (TIGERS)The German Lab is engaging in hands on, inquiry-based biology classes at Valencia High School. Once a month, I visit and do hands-on labs with the freshman and biology classes. The goal is to engage the students in hands on lab activities to increase science literacy and to inspire them to pursue careers in science.

Wetlands and Wildlife Care Center & Orange County Animal League
Outside of science, my greatest passion is rescuing abandoned, abused, or injured animals. I have volunteered with Orange County Animal League and the Kris Kelly Foundation, where I have helped care for abused and abandoned cats, nursed kittens back to health, and helped animals find their forever home. At the Wetlands and Wildlife Care Center, I rehabilitate, care for, and release injured and orphaned native wildlife. Click on the logo to see how you can help our native wildlife.
